Winning the lottery
“What would you do if you won the lottery?”
Such a fun question. Until I start asking if we are talking Powerball, Mega Millions, pre or post tax, lump sum or annuity, etc.
That said, I’ve found a couple of even better questions that I’d like to share over the long weekend.
They build upon each other, so they are most effective if you and your spouse (if applicable) answer each before moving on.
I’m not a trained psychologist, so I’ve shied away from asking them of my clients.
But they’re so good at helping us understand what we are truly planning for.
They were for me, at least. These questions led me to ultimately change careers and pursue my passion.
Hopefully you learn something new about yourself, your spouse and your similarities and differences.
Question 1: Design Your Life
“I want you to imagine that you are financially secure, that you have enough money to take care of your needs, now and in the future.
The question is, how would you live your life? What would you do with the money? Would you change anything?
Let yourself go. Don’t hold back your dreams. Describe a life that is complete, that is richly yours.”
I hope you’ll take a few minutes tonight, perhaps with your preferred beverage in hand, and enjoy the possibilities.
Until tomorrow,
